Try to use the free service provided by most rental halls. Catering Directors of most wedding rental places usually have done many weddings and are great people to ask for advice. If you are using a facility the advice comes along free. No need to hire a separate wedding planner unless the wedding is large. If you use a wedding planner get several quotes on fees and a written agreement. Buy a Wedding Planning Book.Click here to visit Marriage Preparation Online , for an outline of how to plan a wedding. There are several free guides there about weddings and he also sells a book. The free guides are good information.

Funky Weddings: Bike Night Nuptials
Many places have bike nights where motorcycle enthusiasts gather to talk, meet, and make friends. If you and your significant other plan to elope ask at bike night if you can show up one night with the preacher and do a marriage ceremony. It is easy. Get a license, permission from the establishment, notify the group and wedding officiant when and let it happen. No bike night near you ask at the local motorcycle sales place. Ride motor scooters? Try the scooter club group or ask at the scooter sales business if you can get married on their sales floor. Great publicity for the sales place and a fun funky wedding.

Getting Married In One Day

It is possible in New Orleans to get a marriage license and get married on the same day. Most states require couples applying for a marriage license to get tests and wait s few days before getting married. The rules in New Orleans have been made easy, no test and no waiting if you get a waiver. The waiver of the delay can be done by a wedding officiant or judge when the couple are from out of state and visiting New Orleans. All the couple need do is ask and get the license during office hours which are weekdays during regular business hours. Calling the license off ahead is good to do to be they are open and discussing the waiver before hand is also a good policy. A wedding officiant needs to attach the waiver done on letterhead showing his office to the completed license when returned to the license office. This makes it easy for visitors to elope to New Orleans to get married in one day. More information about getting a license in New Orleans can be found at this link- http://www.figstreet.com/guesthouse/new_orleans_marriage_license.htm
