Elope to New Orleans From Mississippi

 It is now easier to elope to Louisiana with a change in the law that allows couples to get a license and marry on the same day. Either a Justice of the Peace or a Minister who performs a wedding in New Orleans can waiver the 72 hour waiting period and perform a wedding as soon as the couple gets a license. Other couples can get a license in any other major city in Louisiana at a Clerk of Court.
